We're looking for a studio/office manager to join our energetic, collaborative New York Studio. The Office Manager is primarily responsible for the functioning of a design studio, covering a range of tasks from design project management, working with clientele, writing design product orders, to minor accounting. 
Tasks will include: 
Manage correspondence with potential and current clients, press, and other miscellanies through email. Maintain the daily functions of the studio.
Keep design records and digital files of our artwork/photos well organized in dropbox.
Assist with the preparation of client invoices, purchasing, and follow-up on orders.

Develop and format client proposals and quotes. Give estimates, quotes, pricing, lead times, and invoices for our pillow and rug orders. Calculate shipping costs of our products to the clients.

Update and manage the inventory selection on and all other websites that feature our pillow collection. Each week you will update our InDesign inventory file to our website and reconcile excels on other websites. Update our Perigold inventory each week.

Work on design projects and make sure they are running smoothly. Work with vendors on the production timeline and provide updates to the clients and our studio. Manage timing and details on our custom rug projects and our custom pillow orders. Liaison between our vendors and the designer’s assistants on all custom projects. Create excels for our design orders.

Light bookkeeping, invoicing. Ship out small orders from time to time. 

Occasionally work with Judy on design projects developing artwork and colorways for custom rugs and pillows. 

Miscellaneous: this role is a Jack of all trades type position and may involve other occasional tasks that don’t fall into any of the above-mentioned listed tasks.

Job Requirements:

Must be flexible, detail-oriented, good at multitasking, a self-starter, and an independent worker. 

Should be comfortable with computer software including Dropbox, Excel, and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is a must. Quickbooks skills are a must.

Excellent writing skills including email composition and excellent communication skills are necessary. 
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ability to adjust to changing priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
To the Trade and Wholesale industry knowledge.
1-2 years experience preferred.

Knowledge of textiles and an eye for color a plus. Must have a bachelor's degree.

This job is 3 days a week and come September will become 4 days a week.
